    Daniele Baldelli is revered worldwide as a pioneer of the 'Cosmic' sound. His sets in the decadent Italian disco clubs of the late 1970's were a strange melding of disco, funk, classical elements, african rhythms and spaced out cosmic effects.

    The 'Cosmic' sound was to have a have a huge influence on the Belgain 'New Beat' scene and the 'Balaeric' scene that was so influential on the early Acid House scene.

    As interest in the roots of dance music/DJ culture has increased over the past few years, so Baldelli's standing has increased. A 2CD retrospective 'Cosmic' on Amarkord Records has raised interest further in this innovative, out - there DJ. DownTownSounds is proud as punch to present his Irish debut...
