Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I need advice and recommendations please.

I need to a machine that does the following:

    plays dvds
    plays videos
records from the tv in some format

I realise I could get 3 separate machines for this and that there are some that do 2 of the above. Is there one that does all 3? I already have a video recorder but would favour buying something newer (so that it will last longer).

    Thanks in advance,
    Pinkypinky

By videos do you mean XviD in AVI's ?

If so then this LG unit fits the bill (specs on DivX Compare)
Plays DVDs & upscales on HDTV.
    Plays XviD/DivX.
Records to internal hard drive in either MPEG-2 or MPEG-4 ASP (XviD). Recordings can be copied from the HD to DVD.

No, I mean old fashioned VHS which I do not plan to replace on DVD.

only draw back is no analogue tuner, so you will need to record from NTL Digital/ Sky etc..
