Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

In a moment of weakness I insured my N72 when I got it, never got around to cancelling it. Its 7 months old.

Its died today, I know I can get a warranty repair and all that but I'm wondering is there any quicker way to get a new one if I just return it to CW due to the insurance?

That said its quite likely nobody else fell for CW insurance on here

If you go in with the phone they have to send it off for repair. If it can be repaired under the warranty its free but if there's customer damage you have to pay the excess fee. It can take about two weeks

If the phone is lost or stolen you get a new one faster but you have to report the 'loss' to your network and cpw within two days. They blacklist the old phone and you have to pay the excess fee.

And the n72 isn't available anymore so you wouldn't get one. You'd probably get a 5300 or if you really push it maybe a 6300

I don't see either of those phones as anywhere close to an acceptable replacement, being, as they are, Series 40 phones. Somewhat like exchanging a BMW 3 series (an entry level S60 phone isn't much higher than that, obviously) for a Ford Focus...

Oh well, back on to my antique Samsung for the night.

you might be able to get a 5500 which is the only symbian phone meteor currently do but you might have to pay something towards it.

I can't remember saying I used Meteor (I do though, billpay at that)

I'd expect a replacement to be functionally equivalent or higher and would be willing to hit the small claims to get that, if needed. But its all academic until I see what can be done repairs wise.
