Can anybody recommend a hotel very close to Heuston, literally within walking distance.

The Ashling would be the closest, but there are loads along the quays. It depends what you regard as "walking distance". Heuston is well served by public transport anyway. The Luas and a lot of buses pass it.

Hey ya, got to recommend the Ashling, its the closest to Heuston station. A nice 3 Star, give Dermot a bell for best rates.
