chipped tooth

One of my teeth has a piece chipped off it. Ok, it's only cosmetic but I'm just wondering if it would be possible to repair and how much one would be expected to pay for this. I'll be seeing a dentist in two weeks and want to suggest this, but would like to hear from anyone who had this done so I know what to expect. TIA
