MTB The Western Way?

whatabout this "western way" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Western_Way Has anybody cycled stretches of it? I'm sure it goes thru fabulous scenery. But i'm sure there's loads of stretches that are not nearly that good.
250km is a long trek, too far really.
It'd be great if somebody would turn it into a good MTB/walking trail and promote it.

That's an interesting question. I know there are a lot of sections that would be very tough. I'll be in Mayo this weekend so I'll find out some more and report here.
