immersion problem

    hi all

    the fuse blew on my immersion the other day, changed that and the light on the switch is back on but the tank wont heat, however the tank will heat when the central heating is on, would anyone have any idea what could be wrong?

    Sounds like the immersion element is gone.
    I wouldn't recommend a diyer to attempt it. A new element is about 30 euro i think, plus 2/3 hrs labour.

    All together it might cost you 120 euro,to get a plumber to do it.

    Plumber who does electrics as well or sparks that does plumbing: make sure u are clear on what is required
