Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Manchester United, Juventus In CYC Final

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 17 (Bernama) -- Manchester United and Juventus will
battle it out for the inaugural Champions Youth Cup (CYC) title at the
National Stadium in Bukit Jalil on Sunday.

In the first semifinal match tonight, the English club beat Flamengo
of Brazil 2-1 while the second match between two Italian sides, saw
Juventus defeating AC Milan with the same score.

Both matches were played at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium.

Manchester obtained their first goal through midfielder Sam Hewson's
powerful header in the 25th minute but Flamengo levelled the score
after Kayke Rodrigues converted a penalty in the 34th minute following
a foul on their striker Leonardo Ribeiro.

Manchester got the winner in the 62nd minute also through Sam Hewson's header.

"I am very happy with the players' performance. The players have
followed the game plan of controlling the match. They displayed fast
attacking football to beat the Brazilians," said Manchester's head
    coach, Andrew Welsh.

In the other semifinal match, Juventus penetrated AC Milan's goal
through Simone Esposito in the 16th minute and strengthened their
position following a penalty in the 39th minute taken by Christian
    Pasquato.

AC Milan's striker from Sudan, Pierre Aubameyang, narrowed the deficit
in the 57th minute but failed to beat their opponents' strong defence
    again until the final whistle.

In the fifth to eighth classification matches played at the Kuala
Lumpur Football Stadium, PSV Eindhoven of Holland beat Barcelona from
Spain 3-1 while German's Bayern Munich beat Inter Milan of Italy 3-2.

The third and fourth classification match between Flamengo and AC
Milan will be played before the final match at the Bukit Jalil
    National Stadium.

Sam Hewson really looks like a star in the making, anytime Ive seen him play he never fails to impress me. Michael Barnes has been very impressive in this tournament too.
