Tried the speed test over at http://www.dslreports.com/speedtest?flash=1

    and it said:

"Warning: ISP upload compression was detected. Your upload speeds may be inaccurate."

Anyone else get this? ... and what does this mean exactly?

Lol, I just did 2 speedtests on that site and one said I have a 15mb download speed and the other said I was on a 21mb speed even though i'm on a 2mb package!

It says it for me but the whole speedtest they do seems a bit crap. It tells me, my connection is slower than it is and there doesn't seem to be any servers outside of America on it.

    Try http://speedtest.net
    or http://irishisptest.ie

I think the second ones right, if not just google it

I've just discovered that it's a firefox thing(I have no idea why though!) becasue when I do the test in ie7/safari and opera they all return normal 2mb results.

You need to use the most locally hosted server that has enough bandwidth for the number of users testing, for speed tests to mean anything.
