Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hey all,

i am looking for a step by step guide on how to configure a wireless DSL router to connect to my newly installed NTL cable modem.

Is this possible? and if so has anyone successfully done this?

    Thanks.

A wireless dsl router is not for use with NTL (or cable bb) - a dsl router is a router which already has a built in modem for using with dsl broadband which is broadband over a phone line.

Some people on here have reported that they have managed to get a dsl wireless router to work with the NTL but it is not for the faint hearted. Can you confirm what type of wireless router it is? Make and model no would help.

i know a dsl and cable modem are different but what i was hoping to achieve was to use the wireless capabilities of the dsl router so i dont have to be wired to the cable modem because there is only 1 LAN outlet on the cable modem which means i cant share the connection.

So my goal is (if possible) to connect the cable modem to the DSL wireless router, via an ethernet cable, and use the cable modem as a hub and the dsl wireless router as an access point which many wireless laptops / computers can connect to.The fact that it is an DSL router (i think) shouldn't be a problem (correct me if im wrong) as all connections from the cable mode to the DSL router will be via an ethernet cable.

The DSL router i have is a belkin f5d7633-4. Do you think what i described is possible?
