    This is a tough one...

I'd probably have to think reliability first as it has to last 10 years so i'm thinking german.

Fuel prices will be pretty high in 10 years so low litreage. Also this will save on tax.

But I can have any car! Hmm...

I'm going to go with highish cost and get a terrano or x5... Ok Terrano! So when is it being delivered??

Skoda. Superb is a strong contender but the Octavia has a huge boot. Both have orbit altering torque from thrusty 1.9 TDI engines.

Golf 1.4 Sportline is another favourite. Very fast according to a source.

Toyota Auris or Avensis. Strata spec. Luna doesn't hack it. If only I could live with the excitement of the driving experience.

Nice Choice Steve. I'll second that.....

However, chances of me getting insurance on it = 0.00% :(

Plus I couldnt afford the running costs. But it would be nice to just stand next to and swing the keys around my finger..... petrol indicator constantly in the red!

You'd think I'd know better but, I'd probably go one of these > http://www.exchangeandmart.co.uk/iad/Motors/Cars_for_sale/Volkswagen/Phaeton/object?emcode=8317419&sid=xz3ccx_7D1u590624

It's a big ask I know, but could the fairy also ensure that I'd get treated like a customer at the local main dealer.......................

would it have to be a real car, or do concept cars count?

because if so I think I'd have the Golf GTI W12... one of a kind, will resell no prob in future.

Merc W123 300 diesel estate, in 10 years time when all the previous posters gas guzzlers have drained the planet dry, I'll still be filling up with the veggie oil at Lidl:D

I pretty much have that car at the moment, a 03 530d Sport, but If the fairy was feeling a little flush, I'd get a brand new 07 530d M Sport with all of the toys.

    Now you're talking proper Audi's!! :D
Someone mentioned the A8 4.0 TDi... might I recommend that you opt for the newer 4.2 TDi instead!
10 years, no other car, run it myself... hmmm... RS4 might be too costly, M5 definately too costly to run, A8 4.2 TDi comfortable, but would miss the driving thrill, 2 seaters are out, new M3 might just be runable... Impreza Type 25 could be good, Evo would wear me out on any trip over 100 miles, it's pointing to the new M3...

Either an Audi RS6 avant(they just stopped making them:( ) or a new BMW
M5. I even think an M5 estate is on the cards!? I would say a Porsche 911 Turbo or Rs, however if the car is to be my only car for 10 years a saloon or estate like the avant would be perfect.

An RS200 (the car in the foreground!) would do cos I always liked them.
Or an original GT40 in these exact colours!
But if it's a normal enough car that can go over a speed bump it'd be a DB9, or even a M6

for 10 years!!!! then it would have to be jap.
    so i reckon a

The old model RS6 (C5) went out of production in 2004, but the new model (C6) is allegedly to be launched at the Frankfurt Show in September and will be available to the public in Q1/Q2 2008.
Avant (estate) first to be shortly followed by the saloon version.

A 'plus' variant is rumoured for the future.

The new rs6 or the new rs8

    RS6
It will weight close to S6
Engine will be V10 TT with 550+hp.
0-100 will be about 4.5, 0-200 will be 13-15 seconds.
First cars will be at dealers in the mid 2008.

    - RS8
    It will be extremely fast.
Engine will be V10 tuned to 520hp +/- 15 hp
    0-100 will be about 3.8
It will be quicker than Gallardo, and in line with the 911 Turbo.
First cars will be at dealers in spring 2008.
