Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    How do I roam with Meteor? As a Pay As You Go customer, how do I roam with Meteor?

    For Pay As You Go customers, your phone is already set up to roam in Northern Ireland, The UK, Austria, Balearic Islands, Belgium , Bulgaria, Canary Islands, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, France, Germany, Hungary, Isle of Man, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, South Africa, San Marino, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Tunisia, Turkey, The USA, . If you are travelling to these countries, once you arrive you will need to select the local network on your phone – see www.meteor.ie for a list of foreign networks that Meteor has agreements with.
    The first time you want to roam in other destinations, you will need to:
    • Call Customer Care on 1905 at least a week before you wish to travel.
    • Confirm the start and end dates of your trip.
    • Ask for a credit card mandate form. We will send this to you, please fill it out and return it to us by post before you travel so as we can register your credit card details.
    • Make an advance payment of €60*.
    Next time you want to roam, once your credit card is still registered, just call Customer Care 2-3 days before you travel, confirm the start and end dates of your trip, make an advance payment of €60* and the service will be set up for you.
    * Your advance payment will be used against any calls/texts made or received while you are abroad. Should you incur call charges in excess of this payment you will be liable for such call charges.
    You will be charged for additional calls incurred in excess of your €60 advance payment within 3 days of returning home, however when returning home from more remote locations it make take up to 30 days for call charges to be processed and deducted from your account accordingly.
    As a Bill Pay customer, how do I roam with Meteor?
    • If you have been a Meteor customer for less than 2 months you will need to contact us to roam and make an advance payment of €60. You can do this by calling Customer Care on 1905 or alternatively by dropping into a Meteor Store.
    • If you have been a customer for 2 months or more, call Customer Care on 1905 or call into a Meteor Store the first time you want to roam, and we will ensure that you are set up.
    Once you have been with Meteor two months or more and have previously roamed you should not need to call us again or make a further advance payment. All sums due under your contract must be paid by the due date before roaming can be switched on. If an advance payment is required it will be used against any calls/texts made or received while you are abroad. Should you incur call charges in excess of this payment you will be liable for such call charges. You will be charged for additional calls incurred in excess of your €60 advance payment within 3 days of returning home, however when returning home from more remote locations it make take up to 30 days for call charges to be processed and deducted from your account accordingly.
