Whats the story with these yokes?
I was in there yesterday and it said the maximum parking time was an hour! That can't be right can it?
I love what someone did to this sign in the car park:

I thought I was going mad to be honest, had to read the machine twice. There used to be free parking on a Sunday as well.
I was taking the kids to the cinema so parked in the Quayside in the end (6 euro!)

Hope you weren't going to see an epic?;)

Yeah the latest is that you can get a ticket on a Sunday/Bank Holiday.
    It's no right!

I saw the traffic warden going around, so I wasn't going to take any chances, but there were people parked there without a ticket.
We went to see The Simpsons

And parked in the glasshouse only 1.20 per hr :D

I didn't know there was parking at The Glass house, can you park for more then an hour.
I'm not going to comment on Transformers ;)

I'm pi$$ed off that you have to pay for a full hour. I expected it to be other places like Athlone, where you can pay for 20min if you want. Great for quick stops and would make parking more dynamic and available in the town, but I suppose they'd rather screw €1.20 out of people and have them walking around taking up parking for longer than necessary. Parking in Donegal town is only 20cent an hour. Maybe Sligo can justify charging six times more due to being bigger, but then that doesn't really make sense. That would make parking in Dublin €40 an hour. Sligo is a rip off.

Yes same setup as quayside, take a ticket when you enter the carpark, and pay at a machine before you leave.

    1.20 per hour.

Good stuff thanks Gillie, I'll park there tomorrow and try the Glasshouse when I'm in town for a couple of hours, thanks dingding.
Theres something in the Weekender about changes to the parking, its in the bits and pieces section.
