    Hey

Does any know if anywhere in dublin will re-upholster seats professionaly? .. Prefferably in black leather or even Faux Leather

The drivers seat in my cars is a bit worn (under the bum :o ) and keeps snagging on my jeans and this keeps ripping litlle threads off.

Its only two small front bucket seats that I want to get done (the back ones are bench bucket seats already black leather)

Can anybody recommend a place or heard of anywhere that does this?!

There's a guy on the N11 outside of Bray called Gerry Killeen. He does good work, although he sometimes has to be talked to in a special way..

    Cool thanks,

Does he do general re-upholstering or specialise in cars (ie takes the seats out himself and has done car seats before?)

.... what do you mean by he needs to be talked to in a special way?!! im intrigued

I had him replace the soft top and repair the seat mechanisms on an old Mercedes. While I was there, I saw seats from various cars being reupholstered/repaired. As far as I can see he works alone in a workshop beside his house. He seemed very friendly & professional to me, although he did talk a lot. That said, I recommended him to someone on here recently (can't remember who), and I think they didn't find him too helpful when the called. Maybe the guy has mood swings, I dunno.

There's another guy in Bluebell D12 - Nolan Auto Care - he does a great job on upholstery repair. He's in behind the Royal Liver Retail Centre on the Old Naas Road.
