Buses to Blanchardstown Institute of Technology

I got accepted into the Computer Engineering course but I live in Clondalkin

Any buses that could be of use?

I had to endure the bus service to/from ITB for 3 years and it was hell. That said, I wasnt coming from Clondalkin, so you might have it a lot better than I did.

Hopefully your bus service is more regulare/dependable than mine was!!

That's out from town, but might be best bet. Isn't Clondalkin on the Hazelhatch Celbridge train line..you could get a train to some station on the line that has a bus that goes to eh Blanch?

Do yourself a favour and buy a car. I endured Tallaght->ITB on public transport for a year, it nearly killed me.

The 76A goes to Blanchardstown Centre from Clondalkin, but they're like a ghost bus... You could get a bus into the City then the 38/A/B/C, (C and B go into the ITB, normal 38 and 38A drop you near enough to it. If you can afford it and you know how to drive, I'd get a car though, because it'll be so much better than having to get up at 6am every morning... I would use the m50 though because Lucan is so bad for traffic in the mornings.

Speaking of transport. How much is it for a student to go on rail from Dublin to Cork?? Anyone done this route before, how long does it normally take. Do you need any students card to get the discount, if any...as I don't have a students card yet.

You're going into college, it's about time to learn how to figure things out on your own, i.e. check the relavant website, pick up the phone etc.
