    Hey Guys,

As you may have read in my other thread, I have just set up a new website: www.irishdjforum.com

I felt that although there are plenty of websites related to dance music and clubbing etc, but none specifically catering to DJ's and I think it would be great to have one website where like minded people can chat and share information etc.

I appreciate the good advice and suggestions that you have given me and I have taken it all on board. What I envisage for this to grow into is a very friendly community of like minded people, sharing information and discussing various topics on the passion we all share. A place where everyone from beginners to pro's can all discuss anything DJ or music related.

The type of chat/discussion I'm hoping for is:
    - Music: Share info on new tunes and artists and albums that you like - a DJ can never hear enough new music
    - Mixes: Post a mix you have recorded and get decent feedback from other members.
    - Equipment: Discuss and get opinions on decks, mixers, controllers and software etc
    - News: Find out about what is new in the scene, in Ireland and abroad.
    - Club Nights: Find out about events happening in Ireland and use it as a place to promote gig's you are involved in yourself.
    and lots more...

I am very open to letting this grow into whatever the members want it to. The structure at the moment can change with what people desire. E.g. I only have two music forums at the moment, but once it gets going this can split into several more. I may also have one for "Production & Remixing" as that is a very popular topic. Any suggestions you have for what you think would work best would be appreciated.

Now for my request: For this to work properly I need to kick it off well so to attract new members - the more active participation from everyone, the better it will be for everyone else. So, I would like to ask a favour from the boards.ie DJ community to help me get this going. I would really appreciate if you could please sign up to the site and post a message or two to help get things going. Start by putting a quick hello message in the "New Members" section, have a read of the posts already there and reply to a few, or start a new topic in one forums with a question, comment or opinion - anything to start some general discussion. I'm always happy to help those less experienced than me, and I always welcome the opinions and advice of others. I know many of you have way more experience and expertise than I do so anything you can do to assist would really be a big help.

Any feedback you have is very welcome, and I would really appreciate it if you could join up and become part of that I hope will become a great community.
    Thanks
