I think we all agree the penalty awarded to Chelsea against Liverpool was a bad decision but the matter of whether or not Malouda dived or not is still split. Along with that I saw a clip on youtube and decided to post-
Remember a particularly atrocious dive? Maybe look for it on youtube and post it here. This could nearly go in humour because some of them are so bad but along with posting clips maybe we could get a bit of discussion along with the incidents. Here's a compilation from the World Cup:

The Drogba one is bloody hilarious-sniper takes him out in the back. Show that to Mourinho and see can he say his Chelsea players don't dive with a straight face. The only thing more pathetic than Sorin's attempt for Argentina was the fact the opposing player was booked for it.

The greatest ever dive, ever, was Vieira's against Liverpool. One of the funniest things i have ever seen.

There were also some funny ones byt he arsenal players in a match against United at highbury a few years back - remeber one by Vieira, and a pic of Giggs standing over him after it with body language that just said "WTF?"

I have to say Lehman's behaviour, pretty much all the time, is ridiculous. No one can even stand beside him during corners etc without him completely losing the plot.

I'm sorry, but some of that stuff you posted RE*AC*TOR is stupid. In those first four fouls which is all I watched, there was contact in each one. There are much better examples of diving by Ronaldo, what a silly start to the video.

I think all the top teams are pretty much equal in diving, but it is often less focused on it when English players do it.

The Henry one against Wigan I think it was is so bad you could tell he looked embarrassed when he didn't get the decision. Same as Gilardinho despite his very limp attempts to display his disbelief.
The Toni and Matterazi one is ****in hilarious. Materazzi is 'touched' by an elbow in the chest and goes down holding his face. As for what Toni is at I've no bloody idea.

I think this is an utter myth to be honest, I think Liverpool 'dive' as much as anyone, Gerrard especially.

Eboue is a spa, everyone's aware of that. Not a first team player anymore. Lehmann is a nutjob, but he dives because he's insane, not because he's looking for penalties. Also may not be a first team player for too much longer. Also let's be fair here, Lehmann can be entertaining and his antics never actually work so I don't see how he's actually cheating.

Any other divers at Arsenal? Not really. Henry, Vieira, Pires (far worse divers out there than him but for some reason gets absolutely ripped to shreds in these type of threads) all gone.

Pires, cant remember against who

Anything by Drogba, his twirl was the best

Robben against anyone

Maradona in USA 94, cant remember against who.....superman dive!!!

If u stay online long enough the best ones are actually by lesser known players playin for lesser known teams

I'd post the Rooney dive vs Arsenal but I don't particularly fancy watching it again. I must give a special mention to Maniche's 'simulation' for Portugal against Russia at Euro 2004. Lying on the ground, his then FC Porto teammate (Russian player, can't remember name) passed the ball to him as it was a Portugal free-kick, it bounced off his stomach and Maniche proceeds to grab his face and start writhing around in agony. Rivaldo style only against his own clubmate.

That Neville one was ****ing hilarious to watch, I remember it well. That's what normal people look like when they dive, because it's actually a really difficult thing to do.
