I don't live there but I used to date someone who did, we'd often go to Blazers at the back of the hotel, quite a good club, or Blue around the corner.. Or if we were just going for a drink we'd go to Eamon's or Esquebar.. Haven't been down there in ages though so not sure what those places are like these days..

    Libby,

A warm welcome to boards, but do us a little favour and drop the text speak as it tends to get peoples backs up.

I'd agree with Valentines for a drink. Always reminds me of Gertie's in Athlone, in a lived in familiar kind of way.

Blue I suppose if you're still out and about the end of the night. Nowhere else at that time. Eamon's has gone downhill, Valentine's is absolutely wedged on a Saturday, if you want to avoid the crowds and have a quiet pint, John Joe O'Reillys!

Start your night in Keoghs at bottom end of town, then onto Lyons, which is just next door.

Move onto either Valentines on Main Street or
Foxs Bar on Richmond Street, both always have a crowd and live music. Good atmosphere.

New pub has opened up recently - MB Coys, havent been in it yet so cannot comment.

For eating out - an Italien restaurant Momas opened a short while back. Doing nice, very reasonable food and is at bottom end of town.
Aubergine, Black Olive also do nice food but maybe a little formal for a stag.
After the pub, try out Luigis or Macaris - :D yummy.

Activities wise, Im not really sure - we have bowling centre just outside town.
Go Karting and Painting Balling in Edgeworthstown and they are very good.

    Where are you staying??

eamon farrells has picked up band inside and out the back now ...,if u are into dance and trance music, they are doing a late night there with that
there is a night club just behind the longford arms hotel and if ye are staying there ye get free admission to the club, the town isnt that bad to head out in.....enjoy!
