Any opinions on Gymboree or Montessori Education Centre?

We are bringing our 14 month old out to Gymboree in the Spawell on Saturday morning to have a preview of the 1 hour play / song class before we decide to sign her up or not. She has so much energy to burn and we would like to see her interact with toddlers her own age.

Just wondering what your opinions and experiences with Gymboree have been like?

We are also begining to put her name down for schools already. We are interested in the Montessori Education Centre on North Great Georges Street. It is a fee paying primary school that will take her at 3 years old into montessori for 2 years, then into junior infants all the way to 6th class.

Again just wondering if anybody has any opinions or experiences with this school.

Have found it to be very good throughout the age-groups they cater for, especially the lower end.

That particular gymboree I haven't taken my kids too, but my ex-wife did and I didn't hear anything from her to suggest it was very different to the others.

We found it to be great when our son was around that age and had energy to burn. He was frightened of the parachute though

i used to take my now 6 yr old daughter to gymboree in limerick..it was brilliant, i am just about to sign my 3 yr old daughter up now...

my eldest still sings the gymbo songs and loved her time there...i'd say go for it....

obviously montessori is more on the education side of things and gymboree works on the social side of life....they learn alot of songs and rhymes and games in gymbo too
