Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Using a 3 Simcard in another phone - possible?

I've been all morning trying to find this out - so far I've been to a 3G store, a Carphone Warehouse store and talked to 2 different 3 sales reps on the phone. All of whom gave me different answers!

    My simple question is this:

I have a Qtek 9100 phone, fully unlocked and sim free. I want to sign up to a BillPay 3 package with the unlimited broadband add-on, then use the 3 sim card in my qtek. Will it work, or are 3 sim cards and 3 mobile broadband locked to the phones they come with? Has anyone here used 3 broadband through a sim card in a non-3 handset?

    Thanks,

    Robbie

I have used my 3sim in an XDA Exec (data fine, texts didn't work, easily fixable I'm sure), a Nokia N95 (functioned perfectly) and it currently resides in an E90 (functioning even better than the N95 with seemingly better 3.5G reception/speeds).
All above are non 3 handsets and work fine with the mobile broadband add on.

Thanks quintron. I've just realised that my Qtek 9100 is not 3G...doh! Does the broadband add-on work over GPRS or just 3G?

You won't be able to use the three sim on a non 3g phone. You won't get any network coverage as three only have a 3g network.
