Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Symantec and right-click problem

I've a brand spanking new Core Duo machine here at work, running XP pro.

It came pre-installed with Symantec AV, which was uninstalled and replaced with Symantec AV Corporate edition.

The problem is, whenever I right-click on anything, it goes to install Symantec again, can't find the MSI installer and bombs out (even though it is already installed).

Any ideas how I can fix this?

There may be a msiexe loading at startup or running as a background process try using Hijack this to nuke it.

Alternatively you could try re-registering the msi installer that may clear it.

Last but not least some links for removing NAV at this link.

Uninstall it again, what happened with it is that the "Setup Files" haven't been deleted in a way from the temp folder and thats what is causing the error.

Reinstall on "Custom" and pick which parts you want installed etc and that should sort you out!!
