Eircom Router work with NTL Broadband?

Hey Does anyone know if my old netgear wireless eircom router will work with NTL broadband? I can only get NTL in my new place but they dont give a free wireless router unless i get a 6 meg line which i dont need! Cheers

It's not designed for it. As you know, eircom's router is for ADSL. You need a cable router instead. Here is such a device that is very popular for what you want to achieve.

I read here before how someone had a desktop in another room and NTL gave them a wireless router for free to connect it.
