I think no. 7 is at the Gingerman Pub, on the corner of Fenian St/Sth Cumberland St...

I think 1 is off Mespil rd, perhaps Sussex Terrace?

  • Registered Users Posts: 24,993 ✭✭✭✭Wishbone Ash

They're fairly tough alright Wisher.....I'll start the ball rolling with the easiest, no 6 . It's Digges Lane, looking down Drury St. The building on the left is Marconi Hse, new home of Today FM.
It is indeed! The pic taken at the junction of Little Longford Street, Noel Purcell walk and Digges Lane. Well done! :)

No gurramock, - they are all in Dublin 2.

(Mespil Road is in Dublin 4, isn't it?)

The reason I was so sure of the Digges Lane pic was because I took a photo from the same place last week  what are the chances ?
    Here it is...

    (Presumably you meant no. 9)

You are on the right track but it's not Fitzwilliam Lane. Apologies for being pedantic but go again! ;)

    Yes, well done! :)

humberklog - that is seriously impressive. Well done! I thought it would last a while. :D

(I would call it the "top" of Grafton Street, not the bottom!)

Is that tower bit on top of Bus Stop new? I must be walking around with my eyes closed. All my life the top of Grafton st. was essentially my gateway to town after hopping off the 48a (when it went that way) and I never once noticed that. Even looking at the full picture now i'm going wtf - where did that come from?

It's in the Ordnance Survey Dublin Street Guide as Briansboro Terrace (as in Brian Boru).

    9.

    9-16.jpg

No. 9 - The back entrance to my office is down here, it's Little Fitzwilliam Place,
not much else down there apart from the couriers!

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,808 ✭✭✭Ste.phen

    Actually, is 4 Fitzwilliam Lane?

I also have an idea that 3 might be Hogan Avenue, off Macken st?
(I'm probably way off, but that pic reminds me of all those little streets near the rail line)

No 1 is Windsor Place a small mews office development down the lane to the right off Pembroke Street opposite Louis Copelands. You either have to be a courier or to work there to get that one!

Think I've found a new favourite thread :)

Dont suppose number 2 is Bell's Lane, off Ely Place?
I have somewhere else I think it might be, but i'll guess at Bell's Lane first

It's in the Ordnance Survey Dublin Street Guide as Briansboro Terrace (as in Brian Boru).

Now that's impressive! Well done. :) It is indeed Bell's Lane at the rear of the now closed, Hume Street Cancer Hospital.

    Here's an unedited pic.

and another pic of Bell's Lane looking east towards Ely Place Upper.

Yes, sorry I didn't notice until now. Bell's Lane is the correct location for pic no. 4 (not no. 2)! ;)
