I can't believe I haven't copped onto this already: 7 must be at the Law Society buildings, i.e., the former King's Hospital School. The current King's Hospital has a building called Gage Green Hall. I knew I had heard the name somewhere.
Spot on europerson. :) It's on the sports pavilion of the Blue Coat School/King's Hospital/Law Society building on Blackhall Place.

Thanks Victor, I wasn't sure about it's exact address. An old map of mine seems to refer to it as "Dame Gate" but it's not mentioned on the OS Street Guide.

The square's official title is is Dr P Barnado Park.

That might be the bit between Dame Street and Cork Hill (note Cork Hill extends as far as Crane Lane), literally where one of the city gates was.

No , it ain't Buckingham Street Lower either!

(Don't rely too much on Google Maps - they are full of errors in my experience ;))

I just had a quick scan at Google Maps in the Dublin 1 area. It's embarassing the amount of basic street names that are incorrect. In 20 seconds I saw at least 10 major mistakes!

    *shakes head*

Don't use Google Maps folks! ;)

  • Registered Users Posts: 706 ✭✭✭the boss of me

Ah I can't blame the cartographer for my mistake, I'm pretty sure there was an egg store on Foley St opp Bord Gais but I don't think it's the one in your pic. I definitely saw that shop around but can't be 100% sure of where I saw it.

    One last guess...Hill St ??

I left the cobbles as a clue - otherwise it would have been very difficult. ;)
