Right, my computer is either ****ed or you're all on drugs. I see a bar and you're all talking about churches and steeples.

Put away the funny stuff Collie - these are the two (northside) pics that remain! :D

(The bar you may be referring to was pic no. 1)

Two people have guessed Glasnevin Cemetery for no. 10. Althought incorrect, they would be the closest so far. ;)

    No 10. Santry?

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,808 ✭✭✭Ste.phen

    Is number 7 Western Way?

I also thought 10 might be the COI church in Santry where Santry Ave meets the Swords Road, haven't been there in a while so can't quite picture the church.

I think you're right humberklog. You beat me to it, but I was going to say it's the part that just meets Temple Street W.

Yeah I'm a 100% on it. But not Temp st. west end. If you walk from Stoneybatter onto Arbour hill walk about 50m and it's on your left. The pic I think is looking in dirction of stoneybatter, making the old grey building a corner house that sits beside a laneway that gives access into the welders yard.

Aha... I see now. I was disoriented.... thinking the pic was taken facing towards the Temple St W/Montpelier Hill junction.

It'll be funny if we're both wrong. :D

    Well done humberklog! :):)

I'm glad you could describe it so accurately as I'd forgotton the detail as the pic was taken several months ago! I just had it down as "Arbour hill".

Now who's next with a few?

I'm going to throw in a picture.

I know where it is, and I have a few more, but can anyone tell me WHAT it is?

    stoneno1.jpg

    That's a Number 1 on that one.

    stoneno5.jpg

    That's a Number 5 there

    stoneno4.jpg

    And that's half a Number 4

It looks like a milestone - 1 mile to the GPO.

    They aren't milestones, there wasn't a mile between 4 and 5.

Also, there are milestones near to where I live, all along the Malahide Road, the look different and say GPO on them.

    Edit:/

Sorry Wishbone, I seem to have added more before your answer.

Also, dammit, I had you in mind when I was taking the photos, I felt full sure you'd know what they are. :(

    You mean after I answered!

I thought they looked a bit large for milestones.
