Spot on :) DOE building on Marlborough Street.

(No big zoom lens Victor. I only have a mediocre little camera (and the gates were open ;))
Would number 4 be Strandville Avenue by any chance?
    Afraid not DisasterIRL.

    One to go!

EDIT: Oops - I've just realised that this may actually be in Dublin 3! Apologies for any confusion (It's off a Dublin 1 street).

The canal is the dividing line as far as I know.

Is it the small road across the road from North Strand Post Office? Newcomen Avenue?

Yes, but it's east of the canal (where some of Dublin 1 is).

Abercorn Road indeed. :) Now, is it in D1 or D3?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 13,992 ✭✭✭✭gurramok

    Well on guesswork..

On the journeyplanner website it says Abercorn Road is East Wall. So just maybe its more of a D3 than a D1. See below link. New Wapping Street is North Wall which is D1.

its a bit blurry , but if you know where it is well and good. (hint the trolly isnt there anymore.. its around the corner now.. )
I mostly posted it, as a test, as I am having problems embedding pics in a post.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    I can attach no problem.
Have set up an album.. and can copy the URL (with about 4 windows open, 1 with the thread I am trying to reply to , one with album, one which opens another for the pic.. to get the url. and another because I am going round in circles...)

The FAQ says, If I use manage attachment and upload a file, I can "just click on the arrow beside the "attachment icon" to embed the image, but for the life of me I cant find this option..

Is this the same for everyone.. or , as I assume, I am doing it wrong

Freewheeling Ed in future when posting pictures you have to wait until the pictures before you have been answered correct by the upload"ee".

Anyway on your picture, its on the South Circular Road literally opposite the Mosque. I'm the Dublin 8 expert on here btw.;)

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 81 ✭✭Freewheeling Ed

Ok, no problem. Didnt mean to jump a queue.

and yup.. D8.. opposite the mosque.

you know D8 alright .. dont suppose you know where this is ..

    (Quote from Boards.ie FAQ )
How do I add an image to a post?
If you have uploaded an image as an attachment, you can click the arrow next to the 'Attachment Icon' and select it from the list. This will be inserted into your post and can be located where you want it displayed.

    No bother man.

I know Dublin 8 like the back of my hand, ask Mr.Wishbone Ash.:D

I sugggest using photobucket or even imageshack to upload your images on here, just put the link in between [IMG][/IMG], be alot easier.;)

A Bit off topic but it's a piece called Birdy by Rowan Gilllespie.
