Yeah, looks like from Hanover Quay, across the old concrete depoite to the building at Horse Fair.

There are actually a few buildings with that chequerboard design.

Bingo. Surprised you got it as the picture is quite bad as the traffic started to move when I went to take it.

Nah it's mostly solid wall at Killiney, no railings of that kind and IIRC there's no bus shelter and deffo no island in the background. Other than that I see where you're coming from:D.

to confirm pic two is Clontarf road.

Hey Gav are you sure that's the Howth Rd? I would have thought it the James Lakin Rd what with the golf club in the background. The Howth Rd forms only a small stretch along the coast. It goes Clontarf Rd, James Larkin Rd, then Howth Rd. for about a hundred metres and then it becomes the Dublin Rd. Most of the Howth Rd is in off the sea. Goes from Marino, Killester and through Raheny.

I can confirm having looked at pic two thats its definitely Clontarf rd/James Larkin rd. approx location is across road from what used to be Dolllymount House. Howth road apart from blackbanks has no sea in background and even then there is no shelter.
