Number 2. Fruit markets? Mary's Abbey?

Number 4 is very like the War Memorial Gardens, (Islandbridge I think is its official address). If it is, the path in it continues on along the Liffey up to Chapelizod.

That's the one LS. Fruit market it is.

And yep indeed BB it's along the Liffley in the War Memorial. Not sure if that's where you meant Gav but I was rushing about earlier. Sure take a half point!

That's what I meant "Smithfield Markets"

I was very puzzled when you were rejected as it looks like the F & V market to me. Many do refer to the area as Smithfield.

Humberklog - the F & V market is in Dublin 7, not Dublin 1. Immediately west of capel Street is Dublin 7. ;)

(I was scratching my head trying to think of a lookalike building in Dublin 1 after Carroller16 guess was eliminated).

Here are 9 pics from Dublin 8. Some are a bit obscure but Gavin 'Shels' might be around ready to mop up - I don't want to make it too easy in his back yard! :)

    3. Brabazon Row looking down to Newmarket?

Isn't that building the oldest Huguenot building in Ireland? Bricked up by the P+T in the early 80's.

I'm not sure. Wasn't it an orphanage or some sort of institution at one time?

Number 9 - Thomas Street, that shop has been closed for about 20 years, I'd say it's an alladins cave inside, if there is anything inside.

I thought 9 was Cork St but might be wrong
