I knew that, but I was doing the cheeky exam thing of giving a vague answer that's not exactly wrong. :o Although in this case, it did turn out to be wrong.

I often wondered how you could get so many pictures of the city Wishbone! It seems a little clearer now. I did suspect for a while you were a Garda and pounded the beat a lot with your camera tucked away in your pocket :D

That explains it, he chases hoodlums into derelict buildings as that is where they hang out! :D

No.3 Benburb st and No.5 a street near Arbour Hill?

Then again is its 5min walk or drive away from O'Connell st you said :D

Spot on tricky D. Well done. :) That fine house is indeed at the East end of Brunswick Street North near it's junction with Church Street.

Is 3 part of the Jameson Distilliery?

  • Registered Users Posts: 433 ✭✭giddyup

No 3 is Bow St? It's defo part of the distillery but it could be one of a number of streets. Me Nanny (yes that's what we called her) lived on Bow St and my Grandfather worked for Jamesons as did his next door neighbour. My uncle married the next door neighbours daughter and they both ended up working for Irish Distillers.

That photo could have been taken from outside their old front door looking across the street.

Part of my granda's pension was a bottle of Jamey every week or month so there was always a great stock of whiskey in the house with the staff issue stamp.

Don't know why I'm telling you all this but that photo almost brings a tear to my eye. Great stuff.

    The pub is Slatterys
Is the lane Cranmer Lane ?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 129 ✭✭Boardsbud

Correction, was looking at apt block from wrong angle altogether. Its Percy Lane, between Percy Place and Haddington Road, I think.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 13,992 ✭✭✭✭gurramok

    Yeh Slatterys is the pub.

I'll ignore your last post boardsbud :D..its Cranmer Lane, very good, didn't expect it to be taken that fast!
The apt block in the pic is actually the McEniff Hotel!

So No.4 left...its near one of the other answers!
