Fair play to you folks. The only one I would have known was the house on the NCR and actually have a non-digital pic of it taken around 1992!

2 Dr Quirkeys in Phibsboro *shudder*
3 That's the lane behind the Village off Wexford St, the cedarwood is the rear of the Village
4 is Porterhouse North I think - standard art deco architecture:)

Possibly worst designed building in Dublin. A mix of every style going. Maybe Hawkins House is worse but it's a tight run thing.

  • Registered Users Posts: 706 ✭✭✭the boss of me

Dr Quirkes' son is going out with Rosanna Davison. If they got married could you imagine the scene...Dr Quirke could design their house and Chris De Burgh could sing at the wedding. CLASSY

Is 1 Sarah Curran. I'm guessing that who it is as I think that's in front of the hire shop in Rathfarnham.

2 Great Denmark Street, looking to Mountjoy Square. [edit] Greenville Street.
4 Former Fire Station , Dorset Street – now a karate hall?
5 Eden Quay, next to Liberty Hall (we did the building next door previously).

    3, 7 & 8 left.

100 years ago the fire stations were: Buckingham Street, Dorset Street, Thomas Street, Tara Street and Rathmines. Rathmines was under Rathmines Urban District Council, all the others were Dublin Corporation.

    All survive in some form.

    Buckingham Street. Artists studios.

Dorset Street. Karate hall and other uses?

Thomas Street. Derelict, inhabited by pigeons, last used as emergency accommodation. Paid for by the John's Lane Distillery (Paddy's?)

Tara Street. Renovated and altered, now includes hotel and night club!

    Rathmines. Being renovated.

Is 8 the flats on Dorset St?

Victor, in relation to Tara st, they're geting rid of nightclub/pub and turning that part into part of the hotel.
