Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Having BitTorrent-Vista problems

    hey got vista ultimate today and i love it but when i try and go near opening a torrent client my net just completely stops working.. mightn't even be vista's problem but i never had problems before does anyone know what the problem might be?

    Install this & this hotfix.

    If using uTorrent make sure it is latest version 1.7.x not 1.6.x

    Try looking for an updated driver for your ethernet controller.

    I've had no problems using uTorrent for the past few months, maybe give that a try.
    My flatmate also seems to be having no problems with bitcomet, that looks like a fairly crap client though...

    I don't know if Vista is to blame here though as i personally have no problem with torrents and vista(nor anyone i know). I'm using utorrent.

    Might be an idea to try another client?

    No problems with torrents here either. Was using BitTorrent v5.x.x

    Upgraded to the Beta V6 of BitTorrent and can't believe the change. So much faster, more info on everything and the Interface is much better.

    Unlike 98 and XP which are based heavily on the previous version of windows VISTA is a new release with many changes under the bonnet, including the TCP/IP stack.

    Many corporates are waiting for Service Pack 1.

    Lets not forget that NT4 had major problems until Service Pack 3 and Windows ME bad and all as it was, wasn't the complete bargepole job that DOS 4 was. Things have been far worse.
