Rich Girl from the new Robert Plant/Alison Krauss album. Darned song made its way into my head when I heard it on the radio and and hasn't left since. Downloading the album didn't help

The song David Bowie sings in 'Extras'

"Chubby little loser, no one's bloody laughing, the clown that no one laughs at, they all just wish he'd die..... He sold his soul for a shot of fame.... etc"

    Great song :)

Reuben by Cathy Davey. I can't quite decide if I actually like it or not, but it's damn catchy. For those unfamiliar with the song, here's a clip although the sound is a bit dodgy.

Foundations - Kate Nash. That, and Two Little Girls - Ani DiFranco. Meh, it's better than nothing, I don't hate either of them.

    Foundations is funny!

I can't get 'Gimme More' outta my head!

zaph.. for what it's worth, i really like 'Reuben'. It's really different and very catchy!

Good to see some female Irish singer-songwriters to be honest.. god knows there's enough male Irish singer-songwriters!

That song by 'Duke Special'...'last night I nearly died but...' - A real stick in the head tune - very much like the 'Shake n' Vac' Ad of the 1980's or Windolene...'Oi!-Have you sussed new Windowlene Plus...' - sounded like Sham 69 had sold out, hehe

An antidote to Damian feckin' Rice and his ilk!

From what little I've heard of her Cathy Davey reminds me a bit of Tanya Donnelly, which is no bad thing.

I've heard Cathy Daley and she is very good.

    Today there have been two songs in my head and they are as follows;

    Heart - Alone
Ian Dury & the Blockheads - Sex and Drugs and Rock n Roll.

I am actually much younger than those songs would suggest but there we are!!

I woke up today with this feeling
That better things are coming my way (way)
And if the sunshine has a meaning
Telling me not to let things get in my way

When the rainy days are dying
Gotta keep on, keep on trying
All the bees and birds are flying (ahh ahh ahh)
Never let go, gotta hold on in
Non-stop 'til the break of dawnin'
Keep on movin' don't stop rockin' (ahh ahh ahh)

Get on up when you're down
Baby, take a good look around
I know it's not much, but it's okay
    Keep on moving anyway

Feels like I should be screaming
Trying to get it through to my friends
Sometimes it feels that life has no meaning
But I know things will be alright in the end

When the rainy days are dying
Gotta keep on, keep on trying
All the bees and birds are flying (ahh ahh ahh)
Never let go, gotta hold on in
Non-stop 'til the break of dawnin'
Keep on movin' don't stop rockin' (ahh ahh ahh)

Get on up when you're down
Baby, take a good look around
I know it's not much, but it's okay
    Keep on moving anyway

    I cant stop!!!!

zelda soundtrack. i stumbled across this arrangement of it for the first time a few days ago and bits of it have been stuck in my head since... i wont complain.

the main theme stuck in there is the bit they introduce around 1:50 (hyrule field theme).

    edit: i'm a real geek i know...

Yeah the Zelda music is class, from all the games

    meh!!!

if you havent seen them before then you will enjoy it...

personally i think their live performances are over-hyped.people throw aound the "best live band ever" title too easily.they're good but not overly special

This will be my 6th time seeing them in all kinds of circumstances - small indoor venues, big outdoor venues, festivals etc and there's a reason I keep going back for more. They are the most exciting and creative band around at the moment and are one of the few acts that sound better live than on record. Oh and the show they put on with videos, lighting etc is phenomenal.

Rumour is that for their next tour they are going to hire a ship and travel from port to port playing on the back of it. Now that's innovative and exciting for a live band.
