Premier League champions Manchester United are interested in signing Tottenham Hotspur striker Dimitar Berbatov, the player's agent said today.
"We had a 90-minute meeting with Tottenham's chairman Daniel Levy and with sporting director Damien Comolli over Dimitar's future," Emil Danchev told Bulgarian Darik radio. "They informed us that there's a query from Manchester United about the possibility of Berbatov joining them."

The 26-year-old Bulgaria captain scored 12 league goals during the 2006-07 season after joining Spurs from Bayer Leverkusen.

Have a meeting??!?I can't believe they're even contemplating this considering the boards ultimatum to Jol regarding a top-four finish.....no doubt there'll be rumours of Carrick coming the other way....not good.

trouble is Berby's agent does an awful lot of talking .... personally i think this is berby's last season at the club... there's far too much talk of Man Ure by the agent and he's definatelt angling for something to happen:mad:

According to the media, Berbatov was on 24k and is now on 30k, surely he should be on more than that if you compare him to some of the other clowns at the club.

According to yesterday's Times he has got an increase from 44 to 60 per week. The disappointing part is that there is no extension to his contract length.
