Hello, I am thinking of maybe moving to Dublin from the states in a couple of years as this is not a move of lesuire, being of true blue collar working class stock. I was wondering about some of the basic things as far as bringing a vehicle from the states and what type of living arrnangements that maybe available. I have an idea of what I would like to pursue for work, and an alternative as well. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Dublin's a great city but there are serious problems with weather, the cost of living and traffic.

Sell your yank car and take the money here. I would imagine it's more cost effective this way.

Are you planning on renting or buying a place?

Here's a couple of site to check out house prices

Best to sell your car too as the left hand drive will get to be a pain at toll bridges. I reckon you probably own a big car. Fuel prices are very high compared to the US, about $6 dollars a gallon I think I worked it out to before.

Make sure you have a work permit.
