Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Word loads but will not display text / letter

I have a number of icons on my desktop for specific letters / faxes etc, which are Word templates. I used to be able to double click on them and Word would load and open the template ready for writing a new letter. / fax.

This does not happen now, whilst Word loads, the area where the letter would appear is gray as if you actually closed down the letter but not Word itself. If you go to File, Open and search for the template manually and open the template that way, it opens without problem.

The same problem and solution happens when attempting to open email attachments of Word from Outlook Express. Here you have to first save the attachment in say My Documents and then use File, Open. This is a pain.

Is there a solution without reinstalling Word, ie a tweak in the Registry or to re-register Word with Windows via the Run option?

Any tips, solution (s) / advice gratefully received.

    Regards,

    HPMan
