overclocking friendly DDR2

OK, finally taking the plunge again, I have chip and mobo sorted -

Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 Box 4096Kb, LGA775, 64bit, Conroe €167,62

Gigabyte GA-P35-DQ6 ,Intel P35, ATX, PCI-Express €176,28


Not wanting to spend another two weeks trawling the sites, I need suggestions for reasonably priced overclocking friendly DDR2 RAM(2x1GB). Can anyone help me out?

Hey Id go for OCZ pc 8500 reaper. Can be pushed quite a bit I hear. Timings are 5-5-5-15. Got some myself but havent pushed them yetAvailable on Dabs for 160. Im sure theres cheaper ram out there, but it is a quality product.

Geil black dragon. No heatspreaders on them, but they are only cosmetic in most cases.

IT limits the upgrade possibilities though. As there are alot of problems with most boards and 4x1gb sticks. But 4x2gb works with no hassles. I have my black dragons at 4-4-3-12 @ 950mhz with 1.95v atm. And they dont seem to get to hot either. I can touch them and they only seem warm.

I'll be running XP for the next 12 months I'd say, without gaming, so 2GB should be enough?

I would honestly go for the geil black dragon, its made using a 8layer pcb, most ram is 5/6layer. You can find it cheaper on www.memoryc.com. And 2gb will be find for XP, but in vista it just is not enough. Atm vista is taking up 1.2gb of ram just on the os and vuze,msn,irc and ie.
