Hi, I setup a Ltd company last November for IT contracting and freelance purposes. I have recently emigrated and am working a full time job and dont need the hassle of the ltd company anymore, so i wish to close it. Is there anyway i could change the business to a sole trader company so i can still freelance legimately but…

Hi,

I setup a Ltd company last November for IT contracting and freelance purposes. I have recently emigrated and am working a full time job and dont need the hassle of the ltd company anymore, so i wish to close it.

Is there anyway i could change the business to a sole trader company so i can still freelance legimately but with less paperwork and hassle !

If not, how would i go about closing the company for good in the fastest possible manner, my accountant knows the process but im just looking for tips/advice from anyone who has done this already.
