sorry guys, my fault. I found my mistake.
but here is my earlier report, it looks funny how excel added Co. Dublin to all these addresses.

Over the period 15th June to the 25th June 2008 there were 1,921 drops and the average drop was €31,322 or 7%.
Over the same period there were 72 increases and the average increase was €43,128
The 1,921 properties reduced the price by just over €60.1 million in total.

Looks like people are starting to understand how to sell their properties.

If the average price was reduced by 7% which is €31,322, that means that the average asking price was €447,457 which is well above the national average house price in the first place.

Somebody put up a link to a site before that showed how long a property had been advertised online and all the different price changes made to it. I have searched through this forum but cannot find it. Any one know what it is?

Anybody know of a site that lists house price reductions in Ireland?
I know of at least one that deals with the UK and it makes for interesting reading. (Not sure if I'd be breaking the forum rules by posting the URL though.)

In the UK the selling prices of houses is public knowledge,in Ireland it is not.

I was mainly interested in seeing the drops in asking prices, but yes it would be good to see the actual selling prices too.

Although there are many here who don't like the fact that their neighbours can easily find out how much they paid, I think most home owners can't resist looking.

Property Bee is an excellent Firefox plug in that shows you drops in Daft, you simply install the plug in, visit Daft.ie, the plug in will take a note of the prices and when there is a reduction and you visit the page again it will display/highlight the reduction

For price reductions websites my favourite is

I dont know if this is the right place to ask but i'll give it a shot anyways...

was browsing through boards some time ago and came across a very handy site that allows you to track how long a house has been on the market for and what prices were/are? you type in the address and they let you know what auctineer has it and how long its been up for?

Obviously I have tried to search the forums and read thru the sticky's but because i dont know the name or how to shorten "website that tracks houses for sale" I cant find the website that I found before.

I know it's in here somewhere but if someone could point me in the right direction... it'd be great!
