Bowel problems

Hi All,
Just wanted to ask if anyone has any experiance like this before.

I get panic attacks when travelling and this is mainly aggrevated by my bowels.

Recently I ve been getting increasing pains in my abdomen and went to my GP and he has reffered me to another doctor for a second opinion.

I rang the Doctor to book an appointment and his assistant says there is a
2 year waiting list to see him!!

Obviously this is not good enough but I wanted to ask is this the norm??

Things seem to be getting worse with the pains becoming more frequent and there appears to be a lot of weight loss.

can you go back to your gp and tell him, he might refer you to a different consultant.

when you say a doctor, do you mean a specialist? I'd go back to your GP, at least ring them and tell them you are getting worse - if they don't listen, just make an appointment with a different GP. I'm going to close this thread now as it's veering ot and into medical advice, but OP there are few threads on here from people with similar symptoms, so I hope you find some good advice there.
