Conditional offer

Was made a conditional offer within DCU for the finance and capital markets postgrad. Only just rechecked and turns out need 1st class honours to secure the place(just read 1st so thought was 2.1).

I had to defer one of my undergrad exams due to illness and should receive the results next week but not 100% if I can get 1st class honours (My gpa average so far is 3.2 with a first being 3.25+, but my deffered exam is bit iffy due to the fact my CA goin into the exam was only 50% and was worth 40% of overall grade) im confident of gettin atleast a high 2.1 but i dont think they'd accept that as the conditional offer was a 1.1 :(

    any advice?

Tricky one - i'm taking it this is a taught programme so you 've less leeway with personal contact etc.

yep might email course secretary and ask is their any kind of flexibility in the conditional offer. But seeing the offer was a 1.1 im guessing it means they had alot of applicants for it

You could say that again mate. I applied and was unsuccessful. I emailed the head of the course and he said that well over 300 people applied for the course with 35 places.

Hope you get it. I specialised in finance in my final year in DCU Accounting and Finance. The lecturers are ace.
