Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Programme needed to lock desktop while leaving it active

Ok let me clarify the title... I want to be able to download things from the internet and walk away and come back later when they are finished. So that noone stops the download I need a programme that will "lock" access to the desktop but will still run the download / programmes etc in the background. Anyone know of a programme like this??

Would something like a screensaver with a password built into it work??

    Hopefully someone knows. Thanks

just use the screensaver password protect option in windows (that's if you are using windows) there's no need for fancy software here.

Or if your account is password protected then just hit Windows Key + L when you leave.

It always has on mine. It is the same as clicking on Switch Users. It doesn't log you off. Try it and see if it suits you.

No worries. Should be fine. I've used it with no problem on XP and now Vista.
