Walking down Grafton street or wherever in town....EVERY girl is wearing the same aul "skinny jeans" n messed up hairstyle....dyed 99% of the time! Theres no originality these days! What has Dublin become!? All girls seem to look the exact same....Now saying that I am a girl, but I keep my fashion original...but theres so few like that! I say bring back the 80's/90's!! :D

I'm curious, what do you lads think of this? Would you prefer a "unique/original" girl?

How do you mean ''unique/original''? How does one achieve such a look? There are only a certain amount of shops in Dublin, and most sell the same sort of clothes. Even if a girl doesn't fit in with the ''skinny jeans and messy hair look'', she will be labeled as 'goth' or 'emo' or 'hippy' or 'skanger', depending on what she wears. It's not fair to lump people into categories based on their clothes, but it happens unfortunately.

In any case, just because a girl (or guy) dresses in a certain way, it doesn't mean they are less 'unique' or 'original' than anyone else, or that they are 'sheep'. I'm tired of people saying girls wearing fake tan and ugg boots are 'bimbos' who can't think for themselves, and that if a girl dresses like a goth or emo, for example, then she must be unique and independent-minded, when in fact she is following a trend as much as the 'D4 girl'. That said, if people wear whatever they want because they like it and are comfortable with it, they are the unique and individual ones, be it fake tan or black lipstick .

So, in short, you shouldn't judge people by what clothes they wear. :)

    hey
im individual just like everyone else

but seriously i think allot of it is down to peer pressure to be in with the latest fashions and have your hair and make-up in such a way

That's some lag you have there, hattie.

Make your own clothes. We're in a recession.

Hmmm, I don't think I can . Everybody will be doing that now that the economy's gone down the pan. And then I'll be a sheep! ;)
