    First, a message to the Mods. If this absolutely positively has to be moved to the Webgames section then fire ahead. But I beg a minor indulgence, considering my purpose here is expand the amount of people playing Cybernations and the webgames forum is utterly dead.

    So, I'll begin with a quick overview of how the game works. You sign up and get your brand new nation. It is tiny and primitive. Once a day you collect taxes and pay bills and a bunch of other stuff to slowly start growing your fledgling nation. From the get go you can start interacting with the rest of the world: Foreign Aid, Trade Agreements, Technology Deals, Wars, Politics...all sorts of entertaining shenanigans. You'll be up and running in no time.

    BUT! Thats only the beginning of it. The real fun begins when you factor alliances into the equation. Alliances are groups of nations that join together to support each other in many different ways. We here at Boards have our own Alliance, called the Boards Alliance of Protectorate States (BAPS) that was begun by our very own Amp several months ago. 95% of the members are from boards and we'd like to keep growing (we have about 75 members atm).

    In the game our alliance is protected by the mighty GOONS (the Something Awful crowd). GOONS being one of the biggest alliances in the game, it means that we hold a very enviable position of trust and power in the Cybernations universe. Amp originally had himself set up as Dictator supreme, but he resigned due to not having the time to keep it up. The leadership is elected democratically now. (next elections are in about a month by the way, so you have time to get to know everyone and run for election if you like.)

    The great thing about Cybernations is that you can be as involved as you like. Bare minimum you need to log in once every few days and update some things, or if you like you can be active on the forums and find loads of things to keep you occupied.

    So, if you're interested in playing, go to BAPS forums (link at the bottom) and follow the instructions. Once you join BAPS there will be a lot of people eager to help out, send you cash to get you up and running and we also have plenty of cool stuff up our sleeves that you'll find out about later.

    Also if you dont sign up after reading this, and also invtie 20 of your friends to join a rabid ghost she goat will eat out your eyeballs while you sleep and will tell all your future girlfriends you've got crabs... its true... i'd sign up NOW!!!
