I find this profoundly worrying because:-
if the only reason for them considering pulling out of Iraq is the level of US casualties
    And
Is they can wage war "without leaving the US", then what compunction would there be against going after any person(s) in any country, anywhere on the grounds of US security?

Shades of Terminator's "War against the Machines"

    1. Why else would the US pull out of Iraq.

    2. They cannot actually wage war without leaving the US. Well maybe on Mexico or Canada.

    3. The US has no compunction about killing anyone, anywhere on teh grounds of US security.

    4. The Terminator series is a work of fiction based on the premise that the machines took control. Back in the real world, man still controls the machines. However if you ever suspect that the Machines are actually taking over just unplug them.

    5. Don't worry so much.
