Wondering if anyone can recommend a nice place for Sunday (or anyday) lunch. We like all kinds of food but don't like spending a fortune.

I have been to the Peony Court near Punches Cross and got a four course meal for €15, it was quite nice but weekend lunch menu very limited, choice of about four starters and four mains and no option to see main menu. I also tried the all you can eat buffet in Copper and Spice Annacotty which was €20 and very filling but very empty on the day we were there - had whole restaurant to ourselves.

Went to Bambu yesterday on O'Connell Street and found it very dear and not very tasty although the staff were lovely. And we like Luigi Malones because they give us paper and crayons and the kids feel at home. Had lunch one day in the Hunt Museum and it was lovely but they said they are not allowed to have any high chairs(??) so it was very hard to eat with the baby on my lap. Good for adults though.

    All suggestions welcome.

    Thanks

Dolan's do a good lunch. Roast of the day is €10.

Most pubs/bars do a Sunday carvery lunch. Main course is usually around the €10 mark.

I was in Penz a couple of times and their Sunday lunch is lovely. 4 course lunch for €20. They are located in Ballycummin village overhead Clohessey's bar. You probably need to book in advance though as they are usually quite busy on a Sunday.

Leave town and go to Cratloe. The WoodCross do a great dinner, lovely bar too. Or else The Creamery in Bunratty, its always very busy on a Sunday though so expect a wait for a table.

Kilmurray Lodge is very good for around €11.00
or the Woodfield House on the Ennis Road is a good bet too.

Had the same problem with The Hunt Museum & they explained that their insurance won't cover high chairs because of the flag-stone floor. Shame as it's a lovely spot.

Sorry for going a little off-topic...would also recommend Luigi Malone's as there's usually a good few children there and you don't feel like you're upsetting anyone else.
