Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Nobody cares,to be honest.

Oh they do. I sent a photocopy to all the neighbours in the estate and they were impressed. I get way more doffed hats etc now and way more prestige on the neighbourhood watch commitee tbh.

Yeah I used to be in mensa once. Load of toss tbh. The magazine has to be the most pretentious load of drivel i've ever read, and how cheap ass is that plaque??? ffs???. Just a load of people who can't write giving themselves collective pats on the back.
    Gotta agree.

We were tested in school in 6th class. I got 156 which is apparently within the top 2% of the country. I was excited that I was offered to join this high IQ society.

What I got in return for was the chance to pay €40 for a subscription to this crappy magazine I couldn't have cared less about.....

Needles to say, I didn't renew the subscription.

Did you find it tough to read?
    I prefer picture books myself.

I apparently have a score of 117 which is "Above Average" but well below "Gifted" or "Genius".

    I can't do anything right :(

Should've checked out CTYI (well young CTYI at that age), a lot less pompous (though there is the odd "intelligent" idiot who's too far up their own ar*e).
Some of the courses were interesting, but then it depends on where your interests lie...

Read JTHM, there's a cool "picture book" if I ever saw one. >:-)

Yeah, but I never knew about it back then.

Though throughout my life I've had a mix of friends of varying intelligence and have avoided fitting into any sort of "intelligent" stereotype. What effect something like CTYI would have had on that I don't know, but ultimately I'm happy the way I turned out.

As long as you didn't let the experience define you then I doubt it would've changed you much, but you will always get the odd person who lets it really get to their head.... they usually didn't get on too well socially there.

I actually wrote in an article review once, when they posted an article about a member who *shock horror* was also good looking. The review went along the lines of "I for one agree with this for I too am amazingly handsome and intelligent and successfull" ... and they PRINTED IT!!! I must of struck the right cord of arrogance that they where looking for.

IQ is irrelevant tbh... this is about the only good use for that crappy cheap mensa card.

    mensa card as paste spreader

Oh and the barcode isn't blurred out, it actually wore off when I used acetone to clean it.. oh how I laughed at that bittersweet irony ;)

    Mr LVS (ELVIS) Mcclurg *lol*

No, it's CTYI - Collin Thinks You're Idiots or Centre for Tubby Youth Ireland :D
There are one or two Irish people I'd encountered while there who I'd consider silly due to their do anything to be the centre of attention mindset, but overall I found the US members far worse for sillyness (e.g. buying booze in the off licence while on an escourted field trip and thinking they'd not get caught!).

Is Differential Aptitude Testing regarded as the equivalent of IQ tests.
Don't know about my exact IQ but i did get the highest overall score in a DAT in school. So i probably have the highest IQ here TBH. :D

    /Awaits inevitable pi$$taking/adverse commentary..
