    French broadband subscribers hit 14.25 million - regulator

    There were 14.25 million high-speed internet subscribers in France at the end of June, up from 13.5 million at the end of March, according to telecommunications regulator Arcep. Within the total, the number of ADSL subscribers rose to 13.55 million from 12.85 million. Over half of all wholesale DSL lines are now used for fully unbundled subscriptions. There were 3.56 million subscriptions without France Telecom line rental and 3.25 million with line rental at the end of June. Wholesale DSL lines are stabilising with a growth of 258,000 lines in the second quarter.
