As per the Charlesland Court Autumn Newsletter, the river fence was a temporary structure only for the period during construction. The committee are looking for people's views on whether there is no need for the fence and if it should be removed, of whether it is important to maintain the integrity of the boundary with some permanent structure, and thereby restricting access (although planning approval may be difficult to obtain). The cost of applying for approval, and the construction if allowed would have to be met by the management company. If you have any particular views on this, send them on to charleslandcourt@hotmail.com by Friday 15 September.

The same issue came up at the wood agm last year and the year before. The fence cannot be removed without approval of the wood and court Management companies .The cost of erecting a wall would be prohibitive as it would run well over 1 to 1.5 million and subject to planning which would be unlikely to be granted .ie 1km of wall this broken up between the houses of the wood and the court could result is a tripling of the management fee over 8 years..It was decided that it should be left as it is.
