How to find enabling dates for exchange?

I had problems on my phone line last weekend and was chatting to the Eircom engineer today and he mentioned that the exchange I'm on was on the list of exchanges to be broadband enabled but he couldn't tell me when.

Is there any way of finding out the when of this as the engineer said he had no idea, just that he's seen my exchange on a list somewhere?

Hi this list http://www.mulley.net/2006/10/19/eircom-to-enable-another-100-exchanges-120k-more-people-can-avail-of-broadband/ is due to be done by the end of this year!!!! To the best of my knowledge none have been announced as DSL enabled yet but people have said that preparatory work has been on going at some of these exchanges. There is another list of 300 exchanges announced in March of this year http://www.mulley.net/2007/04/04/eircom-announce-another-300-additional-exchanges-to-be-enabled-no-timeframe/

It is very difficult to get any information from Eircom with regard to dates. Ringing eircom broadband sales is a waste of time imo. You'd be better off talking to someone local like an area manager or such like if you can.
