Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

got a pc to fix yesterday, its was hanging, traced problem to faulty ram (thanks ultimate boot cd)

antway during my troubleshooting, i had to force the pc to power off, because it hung during shutdown, it wouldn't boot afterwards

anyway tried repair and it failed, and a few other tricks i learned over the years

going to just reinstall, i have the profile backed up (and a full drive ghost image),

but is it possibal to insert this profile into the new installation?

    yeah, should be easy enough,

just log on as the new user. log out and log back into the computer as the administrator.

then copy everything from the old profile, (my docs, music, desktop, favourites etc etc) into the new profile.

then you need to copy SOME of the application and local settings folder, primarely just the outlook ones and windows mail ones, but only after you have opened outlook and or windows mail in the new profile.
